First off, I'm extremely happy to have gotten this DVD. When purchasing it, it was already sold out, but since I so needed to have it, I took a shot in the dark and made the purchase, hoping that if it ever got restocked somewhere I'd be first in line to get one. And thankfully it didn't take long at all for it to be so.The DVD itself is a very good documentary covering the creation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My favorite parts of the documentary is that it has recorded footage of TMNT creators Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman in their early years working on the comic series and the franchise in the documentary. It was very forward thinking of them to record some moments throughout their journey and give the viewer a much more intimate telling of them and the Turtles rise to fame rather than it just being told.If I have any "complaints" was that I was hoping that the definitive history of the TMNT also covered in detail the production, success, and cultural impact of the Next Mutation and 2003 TMNT eras.Regardless, this DVD is excellent and is a must have for any one who is truly in love with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, and a huge inspiration for any inspiring artist / indie comic creators.
